Likud chutzpanim in high gear

I really don’t understand how some Israeli leaders fail to think how their words are perceived abroad. For instance, saying something like this requires a fair amount of chutzpah:

A Palestinian state established within 1967 borders would leave too many Israelis beyond Israel’s official borders, Netanyahu’s top security advisor said on Sunday, adding that Israel was determined not to allow such a return.

Well, gee, who’s responsible for that?

(That’s of course setting aside the issue that the President never said Israel had to retreat to the 1967 borders, or to borders it did not negotiate.)
